The battery cannot be charged

The charger light remains green when I plug it in. The battery meter on the display shows about 40%. The charger has always been indoors, and never moves. One day, I came in from a ride and plugged it in to charge it, and the light remained green.

I took it to REI (my local bike repair place of choice), and they said this is usually an issue with the charger, since the bike systems seem normal.

I live in Durham, NC, and will take it to a certified dealer if one is available nearby. Otherwise, should I just replace the charger?

    Hi Smythe,

The charger typically does not experience issues, but the best way to confirm whether it is functioning properly is to check if the charger’s output voltage is above 48V.

If you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact us at customers@himiwaybike.com. We’ll be happy to help.

    Thank you!

    How would I test that?

    Hi Smythe,

To test the voltage, you will need a multimeter. Please refer to this video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vs9QElFRocM for guidance on how to check the charger’s output voltage.

    Thank you!
